competing impulses

On the one hand, I really enjoy messing around with my website. On the other, I really like how my website is right now.

Coding is fun, but everything works basically the way I want it to. Designing is fun, but I like how things look. Learning new skills is fun, but I've tried a few times to make the site less JS-dependent (my one complaint) and have always made it a noticeably worse place, so that's on hold for the moment.

Honestly, part of the reason I was so willing to implement comments is that I was pleased to be able to do something to my site. As far as I can tell, the last site-wide change I made was changing the mystery theme back from spooky scary skulls after Halloween.

Ugh. I should come up with something fun soon.
