albums on repeat

I believe at this point I've established my affection for the album as a form. Here are the ones I've been listening to lately.

  • & (Bastille): There are two songs on this album that I really dislike, but the album works without them, and I will forgive a halfway decent concept album for murder.
  • Adult Tantrums (Fiona Grey): I think this is the newest addition to the rotation. It came out a week or two ago and I'm really enjoying it.
  • Alligator Bites Never Heal (Doechii): The songs on this album kind of melt together in the best way. It works so well as a unit.
  • A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (The 1975): Another concept album. "It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)" is one of my all-time favorite songs.
  • Dance Fever (Florence + the Machine): Usually when you have a song as good as "King", the rest of the album is kind of a letdown, but this one holds its own.
  • Glitterbug (The Wombats): I fell in love with this album in high school, probably about 90% because it has a song called "Greek Tragedy" on it.
  • The Great Impersonator (Halsey): I did not like this one on first acquaintance, but it totally grew on me.
  • GUTS (Olivia Rodrigo): A fun pop album with a light touch of punk, which is, to be honest, about all I can take.
  • love you forever (VÉRITÉ): My favorite album by my favorite artist. Love a reprise.
  • Prelude to Ecstasy (The Last Dinner Party): I wrote about this yesterday. It's good, you should listen to it.
  • So Much (For) Stardust (Fall Out Boy): I saw the concert for this one and it was far and away the best I've ever been to.
  • This Is All Yours (Alt-J): A weird little number, but I'm into it.
  • Virgin (Lorde): A little shorter than I'd like, but hits above its weight for sure.
