Blaugust, round 2

I've been seriously ill this summer, and that has left me seriously bored. Just absolutely, mind-meltingly bored. So I am going to try to come up with at least one thing to post every day this month, in line with the Blaugust blogging challenge, as outlined here.

The posts probably won't be terribly long, but at least it'll have me back in the habit of doing something with my brain.
